Valladolid City Council says it will run a specific eclipse operation around the Recinto Ferial.
Which city should you go to?
Every Spanish city we checked that sits inside the path, longest totality first. Below those, the three venues we have looked at in real detail.
36 cities where the Sun goes out
Every city we checked that sits inside the path, in every country it crosses. Times are for the city centre and move by a few seconds across a large city.
Read the height column before you book anything. In Spain the Sun is only two to twelve degrees up, so a row of houses or a low ridge can hide the whole thing. In Iceland it is around twenty five degrees, roughly two and a half fists above the skyline, which makes finding a clear view far easier. Same eclipse, completely different problem.

Cities that only just miss it
These get so close that the number looks like a win, and it is not. A sliver of Sun stays lit, so the sky never goes dark and no corona appears. If you are in one of these, the path is usually less than an hour away.
